The Rev. Ellis Tucker "Tuck" Bowerfind
Rector
Tuck was elected as the 20th Rector of Grace in 2019. He and his wife Delea moved here from Alexandria, Virginia. Tuck is committed to the work of Becoming Beloved Community. Delea is Director of Integrated Care at Rockbridge Hospice. They have four adult children.
The Rev. Samson Mamour
Assistant Rector
Samson joined Grace Episcopal Church as a curate in June 2022 after graduating from Virginia Theological Seminary. Samson is originally a native of South Sudan and came to the United States as a refugee during the civil unrest in Sudan. Before the Seminary, he worked in the manufacturing industries. He was the leader of the South Sudanese congregation at St. James Episcopal in Roanoke before being called to the priesthood.
Lisa McGuire
Parish Administrator
Lisa loves the liturgy of the Episcopal Church and the people of Grace. Starting every day at Grace with Morning Prayer centers her into the work she loves: helping people with their needs, working with committee chairs, communicating with people all over, and collaborating with other staff members. She loves being a part of the Welcome that Grace offers.
Martha Burford
Minister of Music
Martha believes when we become conduits for music, we participate in “the love that moves the sun and other stars"(Dante). Whether sharing God's Word through music in liturgy or in the larger community, Martha hears God declaring God’s love for creation in song. She loves "musicking" with Grace's gifted choir and spirited congregation, and is grateful to Walk the Way of Love in the surrounding communities.
